    Measuring the Influence and Intensity of Customer’s Sentiments in Facebook and Twitter

    Organisations these days are actively using social media platforms to engage with potential and existing customers and monitor what they say about the organisation’s product or service. The most important area within social media monitoring lies in how to gain insight for sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis helps in effective evaluation of customer’s sentiments in real time and takes on a special meaning in the context of online social networks like Twitter and Facebook, which collectively represent the largest online forum available for public opinion. Sentiment Analysis is not about retrieving and analyzing the analytics purely on the basis of positive, negative or neutral sentiment. It is imperative to assess the influencers of the sentiments in terms of Retweet and Share option used by them on Twitter and Facebook platform respectively. Measuring the intensity is other important aspect of sentiment analysis process. What kind of nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs are used in the opinion across the Twitter and Facebook platform matters as well since it exhibits the intensity of the underlying emotion in the text written. This study was conducted to propose a framework to identify and analyse the positive and negative sentiments present in Twitter and Facebook platforms and an algorithm was prepared to measure the intensity and influence of the positive, negative sentiment in particular using the document and sentence level analysis technique

    Marriage is a social institution. Couples may have their own children via procreation, in the standard course of nature. Unfortunately, infertile couples are unable to have children. The infertility may be either medical or social. There is an underlying urge in every human being to produce biological descendants who will carry on their lineage in society. Although, a barren couple has the task of learning to cope with their lack of children both internally and externally. As a result, they believe they must turn to artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, test-tube babies, as well as surrogacy, amongst other methods, in order to ensure their survival in society. These methods brighten their eyes and satisfy their yearning for genetically identical offspring. These advancements have aided infertile couples and adults in overcoming reproduction difficulties caused by infertility, such as medical reasons, the loss of a spouse, being separated, homosexual couples, or gay couples, among other things. Through this paper, I would like to enlighten on surrogacy. Here we would discuss various aspects like meaning, method, types, socio-legal, ethical issues, and various reproductive techniques. In modern age surrogacy is very popular in the whole world. Therefore, surrogacy is a highly sensitive and delicate issue. Indeed, it is high time to enact a law to regulate surrogacy in India.     Role of AFB culture, histopathology and laparoscopy in female genital tuberculosis as a cause for chronic pelvic pain

    Background: As Female genital tuberculosis is an important cause of significant morbidity presenting mainly as infertility and chronic pelvic pain so the study was proposed to estimate the prevalence of genital tuberculosis in women with idiopathic chronic pelvic pain by AFB culture, histopathology and laparoscopy.Methods: In this prospective study, we enrolled 65 women with idiopathic chronic pelvic pain. Diagnostic laparoscopy was done and Endometrial biopsy or menstrual blood was taken and sent for AFB culture and histopathological examination.Results: In this study, the prevalence of genital TB in women with CPP was 35.38% (24/65) of which23 had gross findings of genital TB and one had pelvic congestion with positive result in AFB culture. Laparoscopic findings were normal in 13 out of 65 women (20%) whereas these were abnormal in 52 women. Histological evidence of genital TB was reported in 12.5% (3/24) women. AFB culture reported positive in 16.66% (4/24) women.Conclusions: Genital tuberculosis is an important cause for idiopathic chronic pelvic pain mainly in developing countries. AFB culture of menstrual blood is a simple, noninvasive test that is useful many times especially in unmarried girls or those who are not willing for invasive tests. Laparoscopy is an excellent tool in diagnosis of genital TB as it allows direct visualization

    Comparison of the treatment mediated changes in serum lipid profile of cases with metabolic syndrome treated with low dose atorvastatin versus the usual care group

    Background: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a constellation of cardiometabolic risk determinants comprising of obesity, insulin resistance, dyslipidaemia and hypertension. In view of the epidemic of metabolic syndrome, this prospective, comparative study done in OPD setting in a tertiary care centre of central India aimed at finding out the changes in lipid profile, a surrogate marker of cardiovascular morbidities on treatment with low dose atorvastatin versus the usual care group.Methods: Patients satisfying NCEP-ATPIII criteria for metabolic syndrome were divided into two groups. Group A received treatment with 20 mg Atorvastatin along with target driven treatment for hypertension and elevated glucose, as required. Group B received the same except for atorvastatin. Serum lipid profiles were recorded and changes were compared before and after study duration of 3 months. Also, cardiac events were kept track of during follow up.Results: At the end of study it was found that treatment mediated changes in the lipid profile were highly significant (p<0.001) and favourable in group A as compared to Group B. Also, lesser cardiovascular outcomes were observed in Group A patients.Conclusions: The study concludes that among patients with metabolic syndrome, those treated with statins benefitted more than those who did not take statin therapy. This benefit in the correction of serum lipid profile also translated in terms of decreased cardiovascular outcomes in Group A patients. Hence, low dose atorvastatin therapy provides a potential approach for treatment of patients with metabolic syndrome

    ESTIMATION OF ANTIOXIDANT AND ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF CRUDE EXTRACTS OF THEVETIA PERUVIANA (PERS.) K. SCHUM.

    Objective: The aim of this investigation was to estimate antioxidant and antibacterial activity of different crude extracts of Thevetia peruviana (Pers.) K. Schum.Methods: Aqueous and alcoholic crude extracts of different plant parts were obtained and assessed for their antioxidant as well as antibacterial activity. These activities were determined by using standard protocols with some modifications. Aluminium chloride colorimetric method was used to estimate total flavonoid content and total phenolic content was measured by Folin-ciocalteu method.Results: Free radical scavenging activity was recorded highest in fruits and lowest in root's extracts. The maximum phenolic and flavonoids content was found in fruits (TPC33.59±0.385mg GAE/ g DW, TFC6.98±0.22 mg QE/g DW). Minimum phenol content was found in root's extracts (21.47±0.160mg GAE/ g DW) while leaves possess lowest flavonoid content (4.69±0.17 mg QE/g DW). In case of antibacterial activity, aqueous and ethanol extracts of Thevetia peruviana flowers showed maximum antibacterial activity against Proteus vulgaris with maximum zone of inhibition with a value of 18.5±0.5 mm and 15.5±1.322 mm respectively. Ethanol extract of Thevetia peruviana fruits exhibited maximum antibacterial activity against Proteus vulgaris with a value of 13.5±0.5 mm for the zone of inhibition.Conclusion: This investigation finds that methanol extracts of Thevetia peruviana has significant antioxidant activity. These crude extracts can further purify and can be used for development of anti-oxidative pharmaceutical compounds. Aqueous and ethanol extracts of Thevetia peruviana fruits and flowers have good antibacterial potential. But care should be taken as the plant has toxic properties also.Â

    Energy demand is increasing continuously due to sharp growth in population and industrial development. The development and installation of energy sources are not keeping pace with spiraling demand of energy. Although energy production has increased manifold but still there is big gap between production and demand. The major energy demand is met by conventional energy sources like coal, petroleum, diesel, and natural gas etc. This causes depletion of fossil fuel reserve and environmental pollution. The use of fossil fuel not only causes environmental impact but also energy security problem. Energy from biomass is renewable energy, being looked at as an alternative of fossil fuel. One of the biomass energy sources is rice husk, which is a very promising renewable energy source as it is indigenous and has environmental benefits. However, the environmental and financial profiles of the electricity generation from biomass must be assessed to ensure reduction in greenhouse gas emission and positive cash flow. Environmental impact potential from rice husk is generally lesser than fossil fuel plants. A dual fuel diesel engine-generation of 800 kW, using rice husk gasifier, is considered for the analysis purpose.     An Optimal House Price Prediction Algorithm: XGBoost

    An accurate prediction of house prices is a fundamental requirement for various sectors, including real estate and mortgage lending. It is widely recognized that a property’s value is not solely determined by its physical attributes but is significantly influenced by its surrounding neighborhood. Meeting the diverse housing needs of individuals while balancing budget constraints is a primary concern for real estate developers. To this end, we addressed the house price prediction problem as a regression task and thus employed various machine learning (ML) techniques capable of expressing the significance of independent variables. We made use of the housing dataset of Ames City in Iowa, USA to compare XGBoost, support vector regressor, random forest regressor, multilayer perceptron, and multiple linear regression algorithms for house price prediction. Afterwards, we identified the key factors that influence housing costs. Our results show that XGBoost is the best performing model for house price prediction. Our findings present valuable insights and tools for stakeholders, facilitating more accurate property price estimates and, in turn, enabling more informed decision making to meet the housing needs of diverse populations while considering budget constraints

    New Approaches to Selecting Resistance or Tolerance to SDS and Fusarium Root Rot

    Fusarial rots are a significant problem worldwide affecting roots (and sometimes fruits) of most major crops including soybean, maize and wheat. Cultivar variation in partial resistance or tolerance is widespread and significant. Different cultivars of the soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] have both resistance/tolerance to the leaf scorch known as Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) and to the infection and root rot by the causal organism, Fusarium virguliforme (ex. F. solani f. sp glycines) hence the syndrome is composed of two diseases (1-3). Thirteen loci have been identified from analysis of 7 different crosses (2). Using new strains and new methods resistance loci in ‘Hartwig’ and ‘Forrest’, resistant cultivars clearly showed two loci underlie root resistance (lower LG G and D2) and four to eleven loci underlie leaf scorch resistance, depending on the cross made(eg, C2, F, I and upper G in ExF). Transcript abundance analysis of roots in response to F. virguliforme shows an orthologous set of transcripts accumulate during infection of resistant soybean cultivars and Arabidopsis thaliana that include the pathways leading to phenylpropanoid metabolism and its control, guanyl cylase a common second messenger and several transcription factors. Guanyl cyclase is also implicated in resistance in maize. In root disease resistance the genes implicated were known to be stress related. Therefore, A. thaliana is partially resistant and can be used to test both transgenes and mutants in candidate genes. Trangenics show fine maps to BACs have isolated some genes. For example, by fine mapping in NILs candidate genes underlying the controlling loci programming root resistance was a multi-stress resistance protein (lower G; Rfs1). For leaf scorch (Rfs4) an ascorbate peroxidase (C2) has been targeted. Also, Rfs2, a receptor like kinase (G) has been used to generate stable transgenic soybeans. Identification of the genes and loci conferring SDS resistance has provided options to breed improved cultivars with resistance to SDS
